The AdvantageWhy Professional Pool Removal is Essential

01

Protecting Structures

Pools are often located dangerously close to foundations, fences, and utility lines. We utilize slab sawing to separate the deck from the home, ensuring shockwaves and heavy machinery do not cause collateral damage.

02

Drainage & Grading

Improperly filled pools can lead to massive ground settling or dangerous sinkholes. We utilize trenching and punching techniques to shatter the shell, facilitating proper water flow and preventing swampy ground conditions.

03

Code Compliance

Simply burying a pool is a major liability. We strictly navigate the local building codes in Miami-Dade and the Florida Keys to ensure your removal is fully permitted, legal, and compliant.

MethodologyThe Concrete Cutting Miami Approach

Safe pool removal requires strategic engineering to prevent ground collapse or property damage. Our process is designed to be safe, clean, and as non-intrusive as possible.

01. Site Assessment

We visit your property to measure access widths for our machinery and coordinate with 811 to locate any underground utilities.

02. Draining & Punching

We drain the existing water and punch structural holes through the bottom shell to ensure proper subsurface drainage going forward.

03. Demolition

We crush the upper ring, tile, and concrete pool deck utilizing hydraulic breakers mounted on compact, track-driven excavators.

04. Debris Removal

We load the heavy concrete and rebar into our dump trucks and haul it away to licensed recycling facilities.

05. Compaction & Grading

If backfilling, we compact the fill dirt in engineered layers (lifts) to minimize settling, leaving you with a clean, level slate.

Reclaim Your Outdoor Space

Do not let an unused pool limit the potential of your property. Trust the tight-access demolition experts to remove it safely and professionally.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a "Partial Removal" and a "Full Removal"?

In a Partial Removal (or "fill-in"), we punch holes in the bottom for drainage, break the top few feet of the pool walls down into the hole, and backfill the rest with dirt. This is faster and cheaper. A Full Removal involves excavating and hauling away 100% of the concrete and rebar. This is more expensive but is required if you plan to build a new structure over that spot in the future.

Do I need a permit to remove my pool?

Yes. In Miami-Dade and Broward counties, a demolition permit is required to safely and legally remove a pool.

How does the heavy equipment get into my backyard?

We utilize "micro" and compact excavators that can fit through standard fence gates (approx. 36-40 inches wide). If access is tighter, we may need to temporarily remove a section of fence, which we will discuss with you during the consultation.

Will the ground sink after the pool is filled?

Settling is a concern with any excavation, but we mitigate this by compacting the fill dirt in engineered layers (lifts) as we fill the hole. While minor settling can occur over time, our method ensures the ground remains highly stable for landscaping.

What happens to the pool equipment (pump, heater, filter)?

We disconnect and remove all pool equipment. If you wish to keep them or sell them, we can set them aside for you. Otherwise, we will haul them away and recycle them as part of the debris removal service.
