Targeted AreasReclaiming Your Space

Our removal services help you maximize your square footage and modernize your property's exterior. We specialize in Front Porch Widening by removing low walls and planters to open up the entry area for a more welcoming look. For Pool Deck Updates, we clear old planters from the patio or walkway to make room for new furniture or an outdoor kitchen. We also remove brick or concrete Driveway Obstructions that make parking difficult, and handle Retaining Wall Alterations to change the flow of your landscape.

The AdvantageWhy You Can’t Just Sledgehammer a Planter

01

Flush Cutting

We use diamond hand saw tools (like our 20-inch hydraulic Wolverine) to cut the planter walls flush against your house wall or patio floor. This leaves a smooth surface that is easy for your stucco guy or mason to patch.

02

Protecting the Foundation

Most concrete planters are "tied in" to the main structure with steel rebar. By sawing through the concrete and rebar before we break the box, we isolate the vibration, ensuring no damage travels to your home’s structure.

03

Waterproofing Issues

Old planters often trap water and dirt against the house, causing rot or water intrusion through the block. Removing them allows you to inspect the exterior block and seal the wall properly before repainting.

MethodologyThe Cut, Break, and Haul Process

We execute a clean, surgical removal process that protects your property and leaves the area ready for your finishing contractors.

01. Protection

We cover adjacent windows, sliding glass doors, and pavers with plastic or plywood to protect them from dust and flying chips.

02. The Flush Cut

We use electric or hydraulic hand saws to make a vertical cut where the planter meets the house wall, and a horizontal cut where it meets the slab.

03. Demolition & Rebar

Once isolated, we break the planter into manageable pieces using hydraulic breakers or chipping hammers and slice through the anchoring steel reinforcement.

04. Grinding

We grind down any remaining rough edges or lips on the floor or wall to ensure a perfectly flat surface for patching or stucco work.

05. Disposal

We load the heavy concrete debris and haul it away to a recycling facility, leaving your property completely broom-clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will removing the planter damage my stucco?

There will always be a "scar" where the planter was attached. However, our flush-cutting method minimizes damage. We cut the concrete as close to the wall as possible, leaving a flat surface. You will need to hire a stucco professional or painter to patch and blend the area to match the rest of your house.

Is the planter holding up my roof?

Usually, no. Most planters are decorative additions. However, if there is a column or post sitting inside or on top of the planter, we cannot remove it without temporary shoring. We recommend having a contractor verify if the structure is load-bearing before we arrive.

Do you fill the hole in the ground?

If the planter was built on top of the slab, we grind the slab flat. If the planter was built into the ground (leaving a dirt patch when removed), we can leave it as dirt for you to landscape, or we can assist with a concrete pour to fill the void, depending on your preference.

How much does it cost?

Price depends on the size (length/width), material (solid concrete vs. hollow block), and access (can we use a wheelbarrow or mini-excavator?). Sending us a picture is the fastest way to get a price.

Can you save the plants?

We are demolition specialists, not landscapers. If there are plants you want to keep, please remove them before we arrive. Anything left in the planter will be removed with the debris.
