Concrete Cutting Cost Guide

At Concrete Cutting Miami, we believe in transparency. While every job is unique—from cutting a single door in a Miami home to demolishing a commercial plaza in Ft. Lauderdale—understanding our pricing structure helps you budget effectively. We don't offer "cookie-cutter" pricing because we don't do cookie-cutter work, but we can provide exactly what goes into your quote so there are no surprises.

The Big Three Cost Drivers

Your final quote is primarily determined by three technical variables. Knowing these will help you get a faster, more accurate estimate:

  • Depth & Thickness: Cutting a 4-inch sidewalk is significantly faster (and cheaper) than cutting a 12-inch reinforced seawall cap. Depth determines the size of the saw and the time required.
  • Linear Feet vs. Square Feet: Slab Sawing (floors/driveways) is typically priced by the Linear Foot. Wall Sawing (doors/windows) is often priced by the Square Foot of the cut surface.
  • Accessibility: Can we roll our equipment right up to the cut? Or do we need to hand-carry gear up three flights of stairs? Difficult access increases labor time.

No Surprises What is Included?

When you receive a proposal from Concrete Cutting Miami, we account for the entire scope to avoid change orders later:

  • Mobilization: Getting our trucks, heavy equipment, and trained crew to your site.
  • Slurry Control: We don't just cut; we manage the mess. Wet cutting requires vacuuming and containing the concrete run-off.
  • Safety & Insurance: You are paying for a fully insured crew. This protects you from liability if an accident occurs on your property.
  • Debris Removal (Optional): We can include the haul-away of the concrete blocks in your price, or leave them for your GC to handle to save money.

Photos & Dimensions

A picture is worth a thousand words. Text photos of the work area to 888-828-8646 along with exact dimensions ("I need a 3ft x 7ft door cut" is better than "I need a door").

02

Power & Water

Let us know the logistics. Is there a water spigot and electrical outlet nearby? Or do we need to mobilize a water truck and standalone generators to the site?

03

Structural Specs

If you have blueprints showing heavy steel reinforcement or post-tensioned cables, let us know upfront so we can account for the correct diamond blades and GPR scanning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you give me a quote over the phone?

For simple jobs like a single egress window or a standard core drill, we can often give a ballpark range over the phone if you have photos. For complex commercial demolition, we usually need to perform a site visit.

Is debris removal extra?

Yes, typically. Cutting the concrete and hauling the heavy debris are two separate line items. We offer full-service demolition and removal, but if you have a dumpster on-site, we can simply cut and leave the pieces for you to save money.

Does reinforced concrete cost more to cut?

Yes. Heavy rebar slows down our diamond blades and increases wear-and-tear. If your slab is "Post-Tensioned," we may require GPR scanning before we cut to ensure safety.

Do you charge for travel?

Our standard service area includes Miami, Miami Beach, and Ft. Lauderdale. Projects in The Florida Keys or remote areas may incur a travel surcharge.

Why is the minimum charge so high for one small cut?

Even a 10-minute cut requires loading the truck, driving through Miami traffic, setting up hoses and generators, performing the cut, cleaning up, and driving back. The minimum charge covers the operational costs of deploying a professional crew.
